Once we receive your application, we will contact you about completing an online Information Request, which will assist us in getting to know a little more about you, your background and past experience. Once you have completed this, the information will be reviewed by our Franchising team and if we think you might be suitable, we will contact you to arrange an interview.Next: First Interview
At the first interview, a Franchise Development Manager will provide an overview of our franchise system, answer any questions you might have, and discuss any available franchise opportunities. You will be supplied with further information which will assist you in determining whether 7-Eleven is the right fit for you.
We will also ask you to complete
If you have been successful at the first interview, you will be required to complete an online self assessment questionnaire. Your answers to these questions will help 7-Eleven further assess your suitability as a 7-Eleven Franchisee.Next: Store Selection
If you get through to this stage successfully, you will work with the Franchise Development Manager to determine which store you would like to franchise. Relevant information, including store financials, can be provided to assist in making your store selection. You can commence the negotiation of your goodwill fee with the existing Franchisee, although this can not be finalised until you have received approval by 7-Eleven.
We recommend at this stage that you consult your accountant and business advisor.Next: Second Interview
Once your preferred store is selected, you will have a second interview with a Franchise Development Manager. At the end of this interview you will be asked to complete an online personal style survey, to allow us to better understand the style in which you like to operate.Next: Create a Business Plan
The next stage is to develop a business plan for your proposed store, which will include a budget, cashflow, and roster. This is provided to the Franchise Development Manager, who will review to ensure all applicable laws and Franchisee responsibilities are covered, and will provide you with feedback.Next: In Store Assessment
Following the second interview, you will undertake an in store assessment with a member of our Operations team. This will give you an insight into the tasks Franchisees perform to operate a store, such as serving customers, managing store presentation, and leading and coaching a team. It will help 7-Eleven to further determine your suitability, and identify any training and coaching needs, if you were to become a Franchisee.Next: We have brands you won’t find anywhere else
A meeting with the State Manager is the final step required to approve you to become a 7-Eleven Franchisee. The State Manager will work through your business plan, and determine your suitability to operate the store you have selected.Next: Commence your training
Following your approval into the 7-Eleven franchise system, you will pay your application fee and commence your training.
The 10 week, full time, unpaid 7-Eleven Franchisee Training program will provide you with the business and operational skills required to be an effective and successful Franchisee. The program includes classroom training, e-learning, simulation modules and in-store on the job learning.Next: Store Agreement
As you undertake your training, the Store Agreement is prepared and you are provided with Disclosure Documents and the Franchising Code of Practice. The Store Agreement is a legal document which you will have an opportunity to review before you sign. Welcome to the 7-Eleven family. Your first day in your own store! The Store Agreement is now effective. From now you are responsible for leading your team to deliver outstanding customer service and a 7-Eleven customer offer that will help grow sales and profit, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
For the first few days, a 7-Eleven Trainer will work alongside you to help manage the day to day activities and answer queries as they arise.
Your District Manager will also ensure you get settled into the business and work with you regularly in a business planning capacity to discuss the business building opportunities, set targets, review performance and monitor operational standards.
